A hidden gem in Friesland! We sat in the chapel and spent the whole evening (winter) sitting around the fireplace. Definitely recommended! Also nice to combine with Sneek.
Een verborgen pareltje in Friesland! Wijzaten in de kapel en hebben de hele avond (winter) heerlijk rond het haardvuur gezeten. Zeker aan te raden!! Ook mooi te combineren met Sneek.
The mill is wonderfully remote, but even so you can get to a supermarket in 5min by car. The accommodation has no kitchen, but with all the restaurants and ordering options this is not a problem. In the morning we got a delicious breakfast that was equipped with everything. The room is very cozy, nice and warm and cozy. The surroundings are quiet. It is a stay I would definitely recommend!
De molen ligt heerlijk afgelegen, maar alsnog ben je in 5min met de auto bij een supermarkt. Het verblijf heeft geen keuken, maar met alle restaurtants en bestelopties is dit geen probleem. In de ochtend kregen wij een heerlijk ontbijt dat van alles voorzien was. De ruimte is heel knus, lekker warm en gezellig ingericht. De omgeving is rustig. Het is een verblijf dat ik zeker zou aanraden!
A week of enjoying together in Friesland became a party through the experience of this beautiful boutique hotel room. A beautiful freestanding bath, a wonderful rain shower and a fantastic bed. By the way, we also had a great meal, both lunch, dinner and breakfast were top notch.
Een weekje samen genieten in Friesland werd door de beleving van deze prachtige boutique hotelkamer een feestje. Een prachtig vrijstaand bad, een heerlijke regendouche en een fantastisch bed. Overigens hebben we ook nog eens lekker gegeten, zowel de lunch, het diner als het ontbijt waren top.
Cool, such a tower, and the location was really fantastic, right in the center. The breakfast that you could book was in a cozy little place with a friendly, helpful owner, and it was more than enough to last all day. Regarding the interior: the stone benches with cushions were lovely, but to call a few steel tubes around the bed a canopy bed is a bit exaggerated. Opinions can differ about the art on the walls, of course. But a sad Indian in a medieval tower? A conversation piece, though. Other than that, everything was exactly as you'd expect from the description.
Gaaf, zo'n toren, en de ligging was werkelijk fantastisch, zo middenin het centrum. Het ontbijt dat je bij kon boeken was in een gezellig tentje met een aardige, behulpzame eigenaar, en het was ruim voldoende om de hele dag op te kunnen teren. Vwb het interieur: de stenen banken met kussens waren heerlijk, maar om een paar stalen buizen rondom het bed een hemelbed te noemen, is toch wat overdreven. Over de kunst aan de muur kun je natuurlijk van mening verschillen. Maar een treurige indiaan in een Middeleeuwse toren? Wel een conversation piece, though. Verder was alles precies zoals je kon verwachten in de beschrijving.

We really enjoyed a weekend at this unique place! Upon arrival we were very surprised by the beautiful cottages, the attention to detail and the beautiful surroundings. The cottages have everything you need. There were many nice details, such as a valentine garland, candles and cozy decorations. Also, we really enjoyed the wood stove outside. For a small fee you can buy wood and enjoy this for an entire evening. Finally, the breakfast was fantastic! The first morning it was already a party to open the picnic basket and enjoy all the goodies, but the Valentine's breakfast was really the icing on the cake. Heart balloons, chocolate covered strawberries and chocolates. How much we enjoyed it!
Wat hebben we ontzettend genoten van een weekendje op deze unieke plek! Bij aankomst waren we ontzettend verrast door de prachtige huisjes, het oog voor detail en de mooie omgeving. De huisjes hebben alles wat je nodig hebt. Er waren veel leuke details, zoals een valentijnsslinger, kaarsjes en gezellige aankleding. Tevens hebben we enorm genoten van de houtkachel buiten. Voor een klein bedrag kan je hout kopen en hier een hele avond van genieten. Tot slot was het ontbijt fantastisch! De eerste ochtend was het al een feestje om de picknickmand te openen en te genieten van al het lekkers, maar het valentijnsontbijt was echt de kers op de taart. Hartjes ballonnen, aardbeien in chocolade en bonbons. Wat hebben we genoten!

Upon entering the house, we immediately felt at home because of the cozy interior of the Swiss-looking "chalet".
Everything looked fresh and clean and looked fairly new.
Lovely location on the edge of the forest for various walks and a short distance from several eateries and restaurants. There is really nothing missing from the cottage and especially the stove / fireplace made it warm and cozy in the evening. Only we had to get used to the somewhat steep stairs to mezzanine / bedroom floor.
Otherwise nothing but praise and definitely recommended.
Bij binnenkomst kregen wij gelijk een thuisgevoel vanwege de gezellige inrichting van het Zwitsers ogende "chalet".
Alles zag er fris en schoon uit en oogde vrij nieuw.
Heerlijk gelegen aan de rand van het bos voor het maken van diverse wandelingen en op korte afstand van diverse eethuisjes en restaurants. Er ontbreekt werkelijk niets aan het huisje en vooral het kacheltje/haardje maakte het in de avond warm en gezellig. Alleen moesten we even wennen aan de ietwat steile trap naar mezzanine/slaapverdieping.
Verder niets dan lof en zeker aanbevelingswaardig.

We had booked the sauna and jacuzzi in addition, and enjoyed it very much. The pallet stove in the car is delicious. Very nice and cozy, thought of everything!

A beautifully decorated cottage with a super nice bed, a beautiful wood stove and great decor. The owner is hospitable and can help you with beautiful hiking trails and I would definitely recommend a visit to the two donkeys. If you want cosiness, snugness and peace and quiet in a beautiful wooded area, then this is about the finest you can find.
Een prachtig ingericht huisje met een super fijn bed, een mooie houtkachel en geweldig decor. De eigenaar is gastvrij en kan je helpen aan mooie wandelroutes en ik zou zeker een bezoek aan de twee ezeltjes aanraden. Wil je gezelligheid, knusheid en rust in een prachtig bosrijke omgeving, dan is dit wel zo ongeveer het fijnste wat je kunt aantreffen.
