Star Cube - Sleeping under the stars

This original accommodation combines the ultimate feeling of freedom from sleeping outdoors with an interior that evokes the sense of cocooning.

The cube shape that stands for stability has a transparent dome on the roof, giving you a direct view of the infinite starry sky from the comfort of your bed.

In just nine square meters, a regular hotel room has been realized. The space is minimalist but very well-thought-out: nothing more than necessary, but wonderfully comfortable. This "tiny house" is completely recyclable and mobile and therefore fits within the framework of ecotourism. You sleep on a two-person bed. There is a small kitchen and a bathroom with a shower and a toilet.

The accommodation is equipped with a telescope, so with some practice you can discover many beautiful things and accompanying information such as a planisphere and a yearbook of astronomy. Each accommodation on the site is named after a star that can be seen from the Netherlands, so welcome to Orion, Capella, Nunki, Antares, Spica, Aldebaran, Regulus, Elnath, Castor and Pollux.

This "hiker's cabin" is located in the star garden of a centuries-old farmhouse. On this organic farm you can meet a herd of old Dutch Brand Red Cattle. About 200 meters from the heritage site you will find Cosmos Observatory, a beautiful educational center with a large telescope and an atmospheric planetarium, where an enthusiastic team of volunteers provides particularly interesting guided tours.

On the grounds of the farm you will also find an excellent restaurant. It is open all year round for take-out, among other things. For all meals we choose as much as possible for organic beef and beautiful local products according to the Slow Food principle 'think global, eat local'.
