Luxury loft in a nearly 200-year-old fortress

On the floodplains of the river 'Waal' lies this almost 200-year-old Fort. The characteristic fort was once part of the New Dutch Waterline - a long line of defence of about 85 kilometres that had to protect Holland against enemies. In total, more than 60 such forts were built along the New Waterline. The fort was built in 1845 and has recently been completely renovated. Today, the fort offers a number of special opportunities to spend the night.

This impressive loft curated for four people offers you an overnight stay you will never forget. The mix between the authentic stone vaults and the sleek design gives it a unique atmosphere. There is a large bedroom with a double bed and a smaller bedroom with two single beds. If necessary, a bed can be added for a fifth person at an additional cost. In the large dining room you will also find the kitchen. This loft has its own terrace, so when the weather is nice, you can enjoy the sun.

The fort also has a restaurant where you can have lunch or dinner. There is also a terrace where many day visitors make themselves comfortable, too.
