This striking fortress in Gelderland was built in the year 1845 as part of the New Dutch Waterline. This line runs from Muiden to Biesbosch and contains more than 60 fortifications. The fort is owned by the Forestry Commission and was recently completely renovated, and it offers the possibility for a special overnight stay.

This luxurious room is located in the restored part of the fort. The room is fully equipped with floor heating. In the bedroom, there are two large single beds that can be put together to create a queen bed or separated, whatever suits your situation. The sanitary facilities have a modern look and are extremely durable - something that was a key point in the redesign of the fortress. The mini-kitchen has a fridge and microwave and is equipped with glasses, plates, forks and knives etc. You can also make coffee or tea here.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the building. However, calling can be a bit difficult at times due to the thick walls of the fort.

When the weather is nice, you can enjoy the sun and a beautiful view of the river Waal and its floodplains outside on the field.

Upon arrival / departure, guests need to pay the tourist tax per person per night.
