Medieval tower in Zwolle

The city of Zwolle was first described in books in 1040. This means that this city is already almost 1,000 years old. Therefore, the city has many historical buildings. This medieval tower is one of the three remaining city wall towers in Zwolle. The tower is over 500 years old and recently completely restored. Since 2016, the tower has been home to a special B&B with a unique opportunity to stay the night.

The historic old walls in combination with the special lighting make this room very comfortable and attractive. The room is about 50 m2 and is located on the second floor of the tower. You sleep on a large double bed that is centrally located in the room. The self-designed headboard also serves as a closet. The character of the medieval tower is very tangible in the room. The carefully chosen art objects complete the picture. It is also possible to stay here with 3 people, as there is a sofa bed for 1 person in the living room.

The room in this bed and breakfast also has a sitting area, a smart TV and facilities for making tea and coffee (Nespresso). Tea and coffee are free of charge. The bathroom has a shower, toilet, and sink. There is free Wi-Fi. The room also has a private entrance.

On top of the tower is a beautiful roof terrace, where you can enjoy a lovely drink!

The tower is located in the old center of Zwolle. Cosy restaurants, terraces and nice stores are within walking distance. There is plenty to do in the province of Overijssel. For example, take a day trip to Giethoorn (the Venice of the Netherlands), Deventer, or visit the Helledoorn amusement park. A visit to Museum de Fundatie in Zwolle is also definitely worthwhile.
