Spend the night in a unique "boo" in Drenthe

The last original boo (cattle hut) from 1640 can be found in Nieuw-Schoonebeek (Drenthe). In 2008, the boo was rebuilt as a comfortable living and working house. In the equally charming vacation home, you can enjoy a wonderful stay in a unique environment!

The accommodation stands out because of the thatched exterior walls, the thatched roof and the oak beams. It is fully furnished and excellent for a weekend, midweek (Mo-Fr) or an entire vacation week in both summer and winter. From the terrace and from the cottage you have unobstructed views over the fields. Deer, pheasants, hares and various birds come to visit regularly. Of course, you can hike or cycle in the area. For example, the Bargerveen nature reserve is nearby. The accommodation is located at the end of a dirt road between the fields and meadows.

The house is bright, cozy and comfortable. The living room, an open kitchen as well as the bathroom and the toilet are downstairs. Upstairs, you will find a double bedroom and a single bedroom with comfortable beds, and there is also a 2nd toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped including a 4-burner stove, microwave / oven, kettle, coffee maker and refrigerator. There is also TV, Wi-Fi, a CD player and underfloor heating. All rooms are non-smoking.

Made up beds, towels and kitchen towels, VAT and tourist tax included.

Surroundings
The house is situated in a quiet place in the valley of the Schoonebeekerdiep. The Bargerveen is nearby, and you can hike and cycle endlessly in the woods or on the Drenthe heath.

- Geopark de Hondsrug, where you can learn about the history of the Hondsrug in the form of adventures that you can experience yourself
- Wildlands Adventure Zoo Emmen is a beautiful zoo
- Animan park Nordhorn (Germany), where there are no exotic animals like tigers, but there are bisons, wolves and animals you can touch, such as old breeds of pigs and chickens
- Drents Museum with lots of archaeology and changing art collections
- Coevorden Castle, the only castle in Drenthe, recently renovated and converted into a first-class restaurant with a beautiful terrace
- Wollegras, a lovely restaurant on the edge of the Bargerveen nature reserve, right next to one of the largest sheep pens in the Netherlands
