Your own wood-fired hot tub in the garden, where you can enjoy the serene tranquility and the sound of birdsong under the starry sky of Drenthe.

The Accommodation
This lodge is a detached property. Inside, every detail has been carefully considered to ensure a carefree stay for up to 4 people. The bright living room is tastefully decorated and features air conditioning, keeping it pleasantly cool even on hot summer days. The open kitchen is fully equipped and is the ideal place to cook together after a long hike. There are two comfortable bedrooms: one with a double bed and one with two single beds. Through the French doors, you can step right out onto the terrace, where the warm hot tub is already waiting for you. Whether you start the day with breakfast in the morning sun or end the evening in the warm water, it’s all about quality time here. Of course, you’ll have free Wi-Fi access, and there’s one private parking space at the property.

The park
The lodge is located in a lovely, green, and well-organized vacation park with great amenities. During the summer months, take a refreshing dip in the heated outdoor pool (open from approximately late May through September 1), and for the kids, there are two playgrounds and several sandboxes. In the mood for an active afternoon? Hit a few balls on the park’s mini-golf course. For essential groceries or fresh rolls in the morning, head to the park shop at the reception desk. Want to explore the surrounding area without getting tired? At the reception desk, you can easily rent (electric) bikes, handcarts, or cool e-choppers. There’s also a laundromat open 24 hours a day.

The Surroundings
Nature lovers are in for a treat, as you can walk straight from the park into Dwingelderveld National Park. This is the largest wet heathland area in Western Europe, where you might just come across a shepherd with his flock of sheep. Het Drents-Friese Wold National Park and the prehistoric hunebeds are also nearby. Looking for a fun day out with the family? Hop in the car for a boat ride through the water-rich village of Giethoorn, go on a safari at Wildlands Adventure Zoo in Emmen, or seek thrills at Slagharen Amusement Park. The historical city center of Meppel is also highly recommended for an afternoon of shopping or relaxing at an outdoor café.
