Luxury forest lodge with private spa

Nestled in the heart of the forest near Ommen in Overijssel, you’ll find this beautiful and unique lodge for 2 to 4 people, where you’ll rediscover the meaning of “relaxation.” The lodge is anything but ordinary. From the outside, it’s an oasis of tranquility; inside, it’s a surprising and characterful mix of funky colors, Mediterranean vibes, natural materials, and art with a touch of whimsy. Every room offers its own unique experience; every nook is a reason to linger. Here, it’s all about slowing down, laughing, and enjoying life in style. Take off your shoes, put on a good record, open a bottle of wine, and wait on the terrace for the first squirrel to dart by.

The Accommodation
The lodge stands alone on a lush, green lot of no less than 750 m² in the middle of the forest. Inside the lodge, you’ll find a cozy sitting area with a crackling fireplace for long evenings by the fire. The spacious dining table is ideal for a leisurely drink or a delicious dinner. The kitchen is a dream for cooking enthusiasts and is fully equipped, including two refrigerators, a freezer, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, and beautiful wine glasses. Even a rainy day becomes a treat here thanks to the built-in light projector that transforms the living room into a cozy home theater. After a day outdoors, pure comfort awaits—the lodge features a spacious master bedroom for two people and an intimate, cozy box bed for the other two guests. Bedding and towels are already provided for you. The bathroom has been transformed into a true private wellness space. Enjoy the spacious shower with a built-in sunshower, relax in the luxurious indoor spa, or step into the aromatic Finnish sauna. For the ultimate experience, walk right over to the outdoor shower for a delightful refreshment.

The covered terrace is equipped with a full outdoor kitchen and an electric barbecue. End the day by the fire pit, enjoying a cozy bonfire under the starry sky, or sink into the hammock strung between the trees. For an active day in nature, two mountain bikes are at your disposal, along with handy picnic gear to take with you on a trip through the Overijssel countryside. We’ve also thought of longer stays with the availability of a washing machine, dryer, and ironing facilities.

The Park
The lodge is located in a small-scale, quiet, and green bungalow park. Here, you’ll experience the total freedom of the forest, yet still have the comfort of great amenities just around the corner. The park offers, among other things, a reception area with an information desk, free Wi-Fi, a heated outdoor pool (open from mid-May to mid-September), a tennis court and a bocce court, a playground, and a hot breakfast roll service for a relaxing breakfast on your own patio.

The Surroundings
From your front door, you can walk or bike right into the unspoiled nature of the Vecht Valley. The lodge is within walking and biking distance of the Regge River and the charming town of Ommen. The impressive Archemerberg and Lemelerberg hills, as well as charming village squares like Vilsteren and Dalfsen, are also within easy reach. Want to spend a day in the city? The Hanseatic city of Zwolle is just a short drive away. The Vechtdal is known for “all the time in the world,” and that’s exactly what you’ll experience at this unique forest lodge.
