Unique overnight stay in a shipping container

Stay in a surprising spot in Flevoland: a rugged shipping container, transformed into a cozy sleeping space right in the middle of nature. This well-insulated, recycled container home is set on a car-free, friendly campsite. Surrounded by lush greenery and wide-open spaces, you can fully unwind—no fuss, just character. The campsite comes alive with activities, especially during the high season. Enjoy a fresh cup of coffee or a tasty meal on the terrace of the pavilion overlooking the swimming lake. Nature lovers will feel right at home here: take a walk through the largest bamboo forest in the Netherlands or explore the area with fun outings for all ages. This is a unique overnight stay that beautifully blends adventure with simplicity.

Accommodation
This converted shipping container is located at the edge of a camping field. You'll sleep in a comfortable double bed, and there's no need to bring your own bedding—it’s all ready for you, including a linen package. At the small table with chairs, you can enjoy breakfast, read a book, or sip a cup of tea made with the kettle. A mini fridge keeps your drinks nice and cool. To warm up in the evening, there’s a shared wood-burning stove available. The centrally located sanitary building is just a short walk away and offers all essential amenities. Crockery is provided—plates, mugs, glasses, and cutlery—so you only need to bring your own pans and a gas cooker or barbecue for a relaxed meal under the stars.

No cars are allowed in the campground; they can be parked in the shared parking lot.

The campsite
At this campsite you spend the night in the middle of wild nature. Besides a wonderful place to spend the night, when you book you also get access to our vast nature reserve, where you normally have to pay 7.50 pp. Furthermore, there are many activities you can do. There is an obstacle course and nature playground. Furthermore, you can rent SUPs, canoes and bikes. Fishing is also allowed on the waters near the campground. At the beach pavilion you can enjoy a delicious snack on the spacious terrace or inside by the wood-burning stove. In high season the pavilion is open 7 days a week, in low season it is open Friday through Sunday. You can use the WiFi network at the park for free.

The campground also offers opportunities for swimming. Here no one is present who has a view of what happens in the water. So here is your own responsibility.

The area
In the beautiful surroundings there is much to see and do. For example, go on foot or by bike to the Voorsterbos or the Waterloopbos, visit Giethoorn or explore the World Heritage Site of Schokland. Options also include the Orchideeënhoeve, the Tulip Route, the Birds of Prey Farm, the Aviodrome and the go-kart track in Lelystad.
