Tough luxury Scandinavian forest lodge on Veluwe

This rustic Scandinavian-style lodge is nestled among 90-year-old Douglas firs, in a unique location in the Veluwe forest area of Emst (near Epe).

The lodge exudes tranquility, space, and natural luxury. Accommodating 2 to 5 people, this is the ideal holiday home for those who love a rustic interior with warm wood accents in an atmospheric, luxurious setting. It’s the perfect base to completely unwind, embrace nature, and enjoy an unforgettable holiday or weekend getaway. No matter the season—summer or winter—it’s a wonderful place to stay. The lodge is situated on a spacious lot of nearly 1,000 m² within a small-scale forest nature park (not a vacation park).

Please note: Starting November 13, the lodge will be decked out in Christmas spirit both inside and out.

The Holiday Home
The holiday home features a living room with a luxurious open kitchen equipped with all modern conveniences, a comfortable sitting area, and a corner sofa offering panoramic views of the surrounding greenery. The two bedrooms, each with a box spring bed and cozy down comforters, ensure a restful night’s sleep. There’s also room for a fifth person on the sleeper sofa. In addition, there’s a stylish bathroom with a wonderfully spacious rain shower. Inside, you can enjoy the warmth of the fireplace, while the veranda is the perfect spot to relax, have a drink, and enjoy the outdoors. You can enjoy a leisurely meal at the sturdy, handmade garden table, and on cool evenings, it’s wonderful to warm up by the outdoor fireplace in the fire pit. You can also roast marshmallows. There are also comfortable lounge chairs for relaxing.

Wake up here in the morning feeling refreshed, greeted by the first rays of sunshine, the singing of birds, and curious squirrels. During the day, you can enjoy endless walks or bike rides through the vast forests and heathlands of the Veluwe. At sunset, there’s a good chance you’ll spot wildlife: a badger, a fox, a herd of red deer, or wild piglets. And at night, it’s dead quiet and truly dark, and on a clear night, you’ll see an endless starry sky above the treetops. The hoot of the tawny owl or the tapping of the woodpecker reminds you that you’re right in the heart of nature...
