Special B&B

This former motor freighter built in Belgium in 1940 is a so-called "spits" (spike). With its specific dimensions, the ship was specially built to sail on the canals and through the locks in Belgium and France. This ship is one of the most completely preserved ships of this kind in Europe. It belongs to the so-called Sailing Heritage. Since 2010, the ship hosts a B&B with a total of 6 rooms.

Are you looking for a unique experience? Then book a stay in the original forward cabin. The forward cabin room has its own shower and toilet and has a private entrance on the foredeck. There are two single beds and a third single bed in the lower bunk. The room is suitable for 2-3 adults or a family with two small children.

There is no Wi-Fi or television, so you will have plenty of time for each other! You will also have to give up some comfort (lowered ceiling, bed frames, a shower where you have to pump the water yourself, and an entrance with a steep staircase), but the experience is definitely worth it! There is plenty of space in the communal area for relaxation and socializing.

The bed and breakfast is centrally located, easily accessible and near the historic center of Amersfoort with its nice studios and restaurants.
