Waterfront holidays including your own sloop

Experience the perfect holiday by and on the water in the province of Friesland. From early April through October, there’s a 6-person rowboat available at this bungalow—and you’re welcome to use it! After a day on the water, you can enjoy the weather on your waterfront patio. The house is located in a vacation park with various amenities.

The Holiday Home
The holiday home accommodates up to 6 people and is located directly on the water. The property has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, spread over 2 floors. In a separate area of the living room, you’ll find a cozy box bed that sleeps 2 adults. The living room is furnished with a seating area and a television. The bungalow has an open kitchen with a dining area. The kitchen is equipped with, among other things, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, an oven, a microwave, a filter coffee maker, a Senseo machine, a Nespresso machine, and a dishwasher. On the first floor, there are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Both bedrooms have 2 single box-spring beds. The bathroom features a bathtub, a shower with a sunshower, and a sink. The bungalow has a furnished patio with a parasol, an outdoor spa, and a charging station for an electric car. Additionally, the bungalow has a private dock. You can use Wi-Fi for free, and there is parking for up to one car at the accommodation, which includes a charging station for electric cars. There are also central parking areas within the park.

The Vacation Park
The park offers various facilities. For example, there is a recreational lake on the grounds that’s perfect for swimming or fishing. For the youngest guests, there’s a “play island” where the little ones can have fun playing with their vacation friends. In addition, the park has a boat ramp for your own boat. Plus, from April through October, you can take advantage of the bread roll delivery service, so you can start your day with delicious fresh bread rolls without even leaving the house! The nearest supermarket is 3.5 km away.

Surroundings
The park borders De Alde Feanen National Park, a stunning nature reserve featuring swamp forests, lakes, peatlands, reed beds, and grasslands. With 450 plant species and over 100 bird species, it’s a wonderful place for nature lovers to bike or hike. The Sneekermeer is a 30-minute drive away. Many water sports are practiced here, such as sailing, canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, and rowing. It’s fun to watch and to try yourself. Near the Sneekermeer, you’ll find the Potten recreational area. This area offers opportunities for swimming, has a water ski course, and features playground equipment. Plus, in Terherne, you can sail across the Frisian waters just like the skippers of the Kameleon, Hielke, and Sietse. A 20-minute drive from the park is Sanjes Safari. This is a play and animal park, so it’s great fun with young children. Other fun activities for kids include the Aventoer Indoor and Outdoor Park in Burgum (10-minute drive), Doolhofpark Bakkeveen (30-minute drive), Aquazoo Zoo (20-minute drive), or the all-inclusive Duinen Zathe amusement park (30-minute drive). Is the weather a bit iffy? Then you can enjoy a swim at the subtropical Swimfun pool in Joure (30-minute drive). With features including a toddler pool and a whitewater course, this is a fun outing for all ages!
