Family room in cozy cottage on the Amstel

This unique cottage is located in Amstelveen and only 20 minutes from Amsterdam. The cottage has a direct view of the Amstel River and the ships passing by. The building the cottage is part of was built some 300 years ago as a residence for the workers of a gunpowder factory. The gunpowder factory was in operation until the end of the last century. Recently, the small workers' houses were completely transformed into special cottages with a characteristic atmosphere. The vacation home is luxurious and fully furnished and during your stay you will lack nothing. The cottage can be booked for couples in love, families or 2 couples who want to discover Amsterdam and its surroundings.

The living room is wonderfully bright and equipped with a TV, dining table with chairs and a spacious sofa that can be converted into a large double sofa bed. If you want to make the room romantic, you can light the electric fireplace. The kitchenette is equipped with a 2-burner electric stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, crockery and kitchen utensils. The stairs lead to the second floor where you will find the bedroom with a king-size bed (180x200cm). The bathroom is equipped with both a shower and a generous design bath, which was designed by industrial designer Marcel Wanders. In front of the entrance of the house is a cozy "Tête à Tête" garden bench, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or cool drink in the sun.

Furthermore, there are in the cottage towels, bed linen, a hair dryer, makeup mirror, safe, iron and ironing board available. Of course the wifi is free and there is the possibility to rent bikes on site.

- Fun and lots of green at the adjacent play farm in the park and recreation area Elsenhove
- Amstelpark playground. Small "amusement park" and large playground. Free entrance!
- Rent a boat and sail from the dock in front of the door to the historic city center of Amsterdam
- Do you fancy a day shopping or culture in Amsterdam? Within 20 minutes you are in the center
- The Johan Cruijff Arena, Ziggo Dome and AFAS Live are less than 10 minutes away by car / cab.
- Within twenty minutes by car / cab you are at Schiphol Airport.
- From the house you in over half an hour on the beach at the North Sea.

In short, this is the perfect base for a week full of fun, culture and relaxation in the Amsterdam region.
