House with bath in old gunpowder factory

This special vacation home is located directly on the Amstel River and a stone's throw from Amsterdam. The vacation home was built around the year 1700 as a residence for the workers of the adjacent gunpowder factory. The workers' houses have recently been completely converted into special vacation homes with a unique atmosphere.

On the first floor of the vacation home is the living room. Because of the high ceilings and many windows, the living room is very light. From the living room, you have a view over the Amstel River. The living room has a 3-seater sofa which can be converted to a sofa bed. Furthermore, the living room has a TV, dining table, electric fireplace and a rattan hanging chair. The kitchenette is equipped with a 2-burner electric stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, crockery and kitchen utensils. On the second floor is the bedroom with king-size bed 180x200cm. In the bathroom you can enjoy a generous design bathtub by industrial designer Marcel Wanders, a shower, toilet and sink. At the entrance of the house, there is a cozy "Tête à Tête" garden bench.

Furthermore, there are in the cottage: towels and bed linen, a hairdryer, makeup mirror, safe, iron and ironing board. Of course the wifi is free and there is the possibility to rent bikes on site.

- Step out on one of the large and famous terraces on the Amstel. in the beautiful and authentic Ouderkerk.
- Fun and lots of green at the adjacent play farm in the Elsenhove park and recreation area
- Amstelpark playground. Small "amusement park" and large playground. Free entrance!
- Rent a boat and sail from the dock in front of the door to the historic city center of Amsterdam
- Day shopping or culture in Amsterdam? Within 20 minutes you are in the center
- The Johan Cruijff Arena, Ziggo Dome and AFAS Live are less than 10 minutes away by car / cab.
- Within twenty minutes by car / cab you are at Schiphol Airport.
- From the house you in over half an hour on the beach at the North Sea.

In short, this is the perfect base for a week full of fun, culture and relaxation in the Amsterdam region.
