Cozy cottage near Amsterdam

This special cottage for 4 people was used over 300 years ago as a worker's house of the adjacent gunpowder factory. The two millstones that were used to grind the black powder are still present and visible at the entrance to the property. In 2018, the cottage was completely renovated and available for a special overnight stay. The cottage is the perfect base for a week full of fun, culture and relaxation in the Amsterdam region.

On the first floor is the living room. The many windows make the living room very light. From the living room, you have a view over the Amstel River. The living room of the vacation home is equipped with a 2-seater sofa which can be folded out into a sofa bed, TV, dining table, electric fireplace and kitchenette. The kitchenette is equipped with a 2-burner electric stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, dishes and kitchen utensils. The bathroom is also on the first floor and is equipped with a shower, sink and toilet.

On the second floor is the spacious bedroom with a king-size bed 180x200cm and a rattan hanging chair. At the entrance of the house, there is a cozy "Tête à Tête" garden bench.

In the cottage you will find free wifi, towels and bed linen, hair dryer, make-up mirror, safe, iron and ironing board. It is possible to reserve a baby bed and high chair on request.

- Enjoy high quality lunch or dinner at our neighbors Peter and Marieke Lute of the Kruidfabriek.
- Step off at one of the large and famous terraces on the Amstel. in the beautiful and authentic Ouderkerk.
Children:
- Fun and lots of green at the adjacent play farm in the park and recreation area Elsenhove
- Amstelpark playground. Small "amusement park" and large playground. Free admission!
For everyone:
- rent a sloop and sail from the jetty in front of the door to the historic city center of Amsterdam
- Do you want to combine sports and culture? Try the Dutch Masters cycling route through Amstelveen, Badhoevedorp and Amsterdam.
Location:
- Within 20 minutes you're at the Albert Cuyp market or Leidsestraat and at the Heineken Experience or Rijksmuseum
- The Johan Cruyff Arena, Ziggo Dome and AFAS Live are less than 10 minutes away by car/taxi.
- Within twenty minutes by car / cab you are at Schiphol Airport.
- From the house you are in just over half an hour on the beach at the North Sea.
- The Keukenhof is 25 minutes away
