About this accommodation
This beautifully designed houseboat is located in a quiet neighborhood in Amsterdam-North, just 15 minutes away from the city center and at the same time close to the National Park 't Twiske. It is the perfect accommodation for anyone who wants to visit Amsterdam for a week or weekend.
The houseboat is suitable for an overnight stay with 4 people, with part of the lower floor of the boat available for you. The B&B is about 45m². During the design of the houseboat, much time has been put into the details. In the garden, there is a cozy sitting area, and it is possible to take a dip in the water.
The houseboat has a modern design with many round shapes. It has a touch of oriental influences but also details of a traditional houseboat. There are 2 spacious bunks, each with a comfortable double bed. The bedsteads can be closed with small doors, but there is still the possibility to look into the living area. Domes have been built into the bedsteads which give a very spacious feeling that becomes extra special when you turn on the lights.
The bathroom is designed so that you can shower in privacy while the sink is being used. In the closet, you will find extra blankets and pillows to sit outside, and there are plenty of games you can play with your family and friends. Good Wi-Fi is available.
The sitting area in the living room is elevated to feel more connected to the water. You can open one of the windows if you want to be closer to the ducks and swans and like to feed them some oats, corn or rice crackers, but not bread, as this is not healthy for them.
Outside in the garden of the bed & breakfast, there is a picnic table and a barbecue. When the weather is sunny, it is a great place to have breakfast or relax after a fun but exhausting day in the center of Amsterdam. It is lovely to enjoy a glass of wine as the sun sets and watch the geese fly over.
From the bed and breakfast, you can reach the center of Amsterdam by means of a free ferry. You can also rent four bicycles that can be taken on the ferry. For those who come by car, it is also ideal as parking is free! There is a supermarket 5 minutes away and there are plenty of nice restaurants in the area.
