Unique shepherd's wagon in beautiful garden

Spend the night in a unique and atmospheric shepherd's wagon, after the age-old tradition of the wandering English shepherds who roamed the hills of England with their flocks. With one big difference: this wagon has been designed to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. With its own bathroom, kitchen and underfloor heating, you will lack absolutely nothing.

Authentic details such as the curved wooden ceiling and the raised bedstead convey a sense of security. The four sturdy metal wheels were handmade by the blacksmith from the neighboring village and drove the wagon to its current location: in the middle of a beautiful park garden, overlooking the natural pond where you can enjoy the funny ducks Geer and Goor. Settle down in one of the chairs or benches, grab a book and sink into the hammock or peer over the surrounding fields to spot deer and hares. In summer, you can share stories (and marshmallows) by the fire pit and then when you walk back to the wagon, you will be amazed by the overwhelming number of stars in a perfectly black sky.

Nature and environment
During your stay in the wagon, you are in the middle of the landscape of the Drents Friese Wold. Large oak trees line the roads that meander past varied nature reserves, authentic farms and old villages. Sandy paths are waiting to be discovered. The gently rolling landscape contains forests, heathland, sandy plains and numerous mysterious pingo ruins. The owners are happy to tell you where you can spot the many badger setts during your cycling or hiking tour, or which routes are best for touring by car.

Would you rather spend a day exploring culture? The cities of Leeuwarden and Groningen are a stone's throw away and offer unique stores, cozy cafes and inviting museums and theaters.

For a cultural experience, you do not necessarily have to leave the grounds, though! The door of the studio in the park garden is always open. Feel free to walk in and find out about the current projects or become part of them yourself through, for example, the exchange of knowledge or workshops.
