About this accommodation
The church is equipped with 6 unique wooden sleeping pods. These 'pods' have been carefully designed to emphasize the architectural qualities of this neo-Gothic church. Each pod has its own patron saint who watches over his guests. From the pods, you get a unique view of the bas-relief and also the illuminated wooden barrel vault of the church. There are 4 sleeping cabins with double beds, and 2 cabins with 2 single beds.
You can enjoy your company in the dining area, the sitting area or at the small bar with its game's corner. There are two bathrooms, each with a shower, sink and toilet. In the kitchen, you will find a sink, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, crockery and cutlery for 12p (no stove or oven available due to them being fire hazards). Of course, there is also a coffee maker, kettle and toaster to prepare a simple breakfast.
There are also common areas such as a dining room, a bar with a games corner, and a cinema room with a beamer. In the movie room, you can simply connect your laptop or Chrome Cast to the beamer. Useful for watching a movie or giving a presentation.
The church also has a 38 m high spire that can be climbed by those who dare. The reward is a beautiful wide view over Westhoek. In the meantime, others can ring the original church bell, go to the confessional or hold a speech from the pulpit.
Surroundings
In the immediate vicinity of the church, there is a 'Stiltepad', a walking and cycling path that follows an old connecting trench from WW1 between the Dodengang and the village of Kaaskerke. In Diksmuide and its surroundings, there are some nice restaurants where you can go with your company. Also, the cosy and famous coastal town of De Panne is just over 25 minutes drive from the church. Here you can enjoy the sun, sea and beach.

What a blissful and cool place to stay! Despite a cold, echoing church, there was plenty of heating! Nice and unique place to sleep! Very cool to be able to climb the tower (at your own risk) and see and ring the bell.
