Sleeping on a raft on the Loosdrecht lakes

The tiny house on the water can be rented per night and is therefore ideal for a getaway, cycling, walking or slooping vacation.

You sleep on your own raft on the Loosdrecht lakes in Loosdrecht and embark on a real outdoors adventure. During the day you can sail to the nicest spots from a nice pick-up point at the Scheendijk or somewhere along the lakes. At night, you enjoy your lovely little raft cabin. You can cook your own meal and fall asleep to the sounds of the water.

The facilities on the raft are limited, but there's all you need. It's the experience that counts. Spending the night on the raft feels like camping on the water, but with your own toilet. And you can swim from your own deck. The water lodge is accessible from land and water. The lodge is perfect for two people, but expandable to four.

On the raft, you have everything at your disposal for an independent stay. Inside there is a fixed sleeping area with a double bed with pillows. There is a possibility to book 2 extra beds (as an extension of the normal bed). There is also a toilet, drinking water tank, stove (2 burner gas), kitchen inventory, lighting, limited electricity, chairs and a terrace with a swimming ladder. There is also an outdoor shower on the raft. The raft is well-insulated and there is a heater available, so you can stay here even in early spring or late summer.

A sleeping bag, sheets, a pillowcase, pocket knife and toiletries need to be brought yourself. It is also possible to book a bedding package. The package consists of a comforter, bedsheet, comforter cover and 2 pillowcases. Costs are 7.50 euros per person.

The Vechtplassen, of which the Loosdrechtse Plassen are a part, are located in the most southeastern part of North Holland, between the Vecht and the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The extraction of peat has created a beautiful landscape of lakes and swamp forests. Part of the region is a protected area (the Oostelijke Vechtplassen), where birds, animals and plants thrive in peace. The other part is a recreational area that is very popular with water sports enthusiasts of all kinds.
