About this accommodation
This beautiful little building in Amsterdam was used as a bridge keeper's house from 1936 to 2017. In 2017, the little building began a new chapter as a unique place to stay. This accommodation is located in the vibrant heart of Amsterdam-West, within walking distance of trendy cafes and bars.
This little bridge house near the Kinkerbrug dates from 1936 and is typical of the work of architect Pieter Lodewijk Kramer. He placed the bridge house in the "elbow" of the bridge and projected the white window frames out of the masonry and extended them around the corners. The windows are horizontal in shape on both the north and south sides so that the bridge keeper had a view of the bridge on the left and the Kostverlorenvaart on the right.
The accommodation is fully equipped so you can enjoy your visit to Amsterdam to the fullest. You will sleep on a spacious double bed. Furthermore, the building is equipped with a shower and toilet. You also have access to coffee and tea-making facilities, a small fridge, air conditioning and free wifi. Bed linen and final cleaning are included. There is air conditioning inside for hot days and heating for colder days.
Surroundings
The popular Foodhallen are less than a 10-minute walk from this accommodation. Here all different food stalls are gathered in one place. Here you can go for a quick bite or a nice glass of wine at the bar. The Vondelpark is about 1 kilometre from this accommodation and the Rijksmuseum is about 2 kilometres away.
