About this accommodation
The B & B is located in an outbuilding of the house. You as guests have your own entrance and have access to a garden and terrace. The bed and breakfast is authentically and tastefully decorated. This gives the whole a cozy and romantic atmosphere. You sleep on a spacious double bed. From your bed you have a nice view of the old beams in the ceiling. The room is equipped with a kitchenette including a refrigerator, microwave, kettle and coffee maker. The bathroom has a sink, shower and toilet. For some fun, there is also a wood stove that provides some extra warmth on colder days.
Every morning a continental breakfast buffet awaits you (included).
Surroundings
Oudeschans, part of the municipality of Westerwolde, has a protected townscape and also has a large number of national monuments including this bed and breakfast with the house. A walking route runs along the ramparts. On the route you will find many attractions, such as the Fortress Museum and a gold smithy. There is also a restaurant. The surroundings of Oudeschans are perfect for beautiful cycling and walking tours. Thermen Bad Wellness Nieuweschans is 8 kilometers away and the Oldamtmeer is 10 kilometers. The city of Groningen is about a half hour drive away.
De B&B is gevestigd in een bijgebouw van het woonhuis. Jullie maken als gasten gebruik van een eigen opgang en hebben de beschikking over een tuin en een terras. De bed and breakfast is authentiek en sfeervol ingericht. Hierdoor heeft het geheel een knusse en romantische uitstraling. Jullie slapen op een ruim tweepersoonsbed. Vanuit je bed heb je mooi zicht op de oude balken in het plafond. De kamer is verder ingericht met een kitchenette met onder andere een koelkast, magnetron, waterkoker en koffiezetapparaat. De badkamer heeft een wastafel, douche en toilet. Voor wat gezelligheid is er ook een houtkachel aanwezig die op koudere dagen voor wat extra warmte zorgt.
Elke ochtend staat er een continentaal ontbijtbuffet voor jullie klaar (inbegrepen).
Omgeving
Oudeschans, onderdeel van de gemeente Westerwolde, heeft een beschermd dorpsgezicht en telt daarnaast een groot aantal rijksmonumenten waaronder deze bed & breakfast met het woonhuis. Over de vestingwallen loopt een wandelroute. Op de route vind je vele bezienswaardigheden, zoals het Vestigingsmuseum en een Edelsmederij. Ook is hier een restaurant. De omgeving van Oudeschans leent zich uitstekend voor prachtige fiets- en wandeltochten. Thermen Bad Wellness Nieuweschans bevindt zich op 8 kilometer afstand en op 10 kilometer bevindt zich het Oldamtmeer. De stad Groningen is ongeveer een half uur rijden.

If you want something different than usual then you are in the right place in this B&B. Great friendly hostess and gentleman. Delicious breakfast after a wonderful sleep in the old forge.
When the weather is nice you can have breakfast outside on the dike.
Wil je wat anders dan gewoon dan ben je in deze B&B op de goede plaats. Geweldig gezellige gastvrouw en - heer. Heerlijk ontbijt nadat je heerlijk hebt geslapen in de oude smederij.
Bij mooi weer kun je lekker buiten ontbijten aan de dijk.

If you want to spend a night or a few days feeling completely relaxed and welcomed, stay at the B&B of Tjerda and Jan.
You will stay in a very nice brocante furnished house with everything. Gives a lot of privacy and tranquility. With a wood stove that warms it up nicely on cold days.

Als je een nachtje of een paar dagen helemaal ontspannen en gastvrij ontvangen wilt voelen, verblijf dan in de B&B van Tjerda en Jan.
Je verblijft in een heel mooi brocante ingericht huisje met alles erop en eraan. Geeft veel privacy en rust. Met een houtkachel die het heerlijk verwarmd op koude dagen.
Heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt.
Het dorpje Oudeschans is heel pittoresk en hele vriendelijke mensen. Echt de moeite waard!!
