Luxe yurt met houtkachel en privé sanitair

This is one of three yurts at a small-scale, spacious glamping site, nestled in the heart of the Achterhoek’s natural surroundings. This yurt is located in the farthest corner of the meadow and is surrounded by greenery. All three yurts are positioned so that you can’t see into each other’s interiors or onto each other’s patios. This gives you plenty of privacy and a wonderful sense of freedom.

The Accommodation
The yurt is spacious enough to accommodate two adults, yet intimate enough for a solo stay—perfect for a “workcation,” for example. A comfortable double bed is situated in the center of the circular space. There’s also a sitting area by the wood-burning stove, plenty of closet space, a dining table, and a compact kitchen. The kitchen features a 4-burner gas stove, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, and running hot water. Everything you need to cook for yourself is provided. The private bathroom is located right next to the yurt. It consists of a modern dry toilet and a luxurious wooden outdoor shower with hot water.

The wood-burning stove is mounted on the wall and is an important part of the experience. The modern Morsø stove heats the entire space and keeps the yurt warm and cozy even on the coldest winter days. Two layers of wool felt provide extra insulation and serve a purpose in both winter and summer. The amenities also change with the season. In colder months, there are warmer bedding, thick bathrobes, and electric supplemental heating. During the warmer season, light kimonos are provided, along with whisper-quiet fans and a mosquito net above the bed.

Through the French doors, you step directly onto the spacious wooden deck. Here you’ll find a dining table and lounge chairs, surrounded by greenery. On clear evenings, the starry sky stretches wide above the yurt. Together, the terrace, the yurt, and the bathroom facilities create a lovely spot where you can fully enjoy the outdoors without sacrificing privacy.

As soon as you step inside, you’ll see the beautifully made bed and the warm, inviting interior, where some mood lighting has already been turned on for you. Bathrobes and towels are hanging ready for use. Toiletries are provided, and you won’t need to bring everything yourself for the kitchen either. Coffee, tea, oil, herbs, spices, and other commonly used basics are included as standard amenities. The wood-burning stove is also ready to be lit; the wood basket is filled, and firewood and kindling are included. With the clear instructions on how to use the stove, you can operate it easily even without prior experience.

A stay in this yurt offers something special in every season. During the cold months, it feels as though you’re being cherished and enveloped by the circular space, with the wood-burning stove lit while it’s cold outside. In the spring and summer, you’ll spend a lot of time on the patio and open the doors to the great outdoors. The outdoor shower can be used year-round and is always a particularly pleasant experience.

From about March through October, you can rent a 2-in-1 barbecue/fire pit to cook outdoors and build a fire on the terrace. Bicycles are also available for rent. Since these extras are partly weather-dependent, they can be requested during the week before your arrival.

The Surroundings
There’s plenty to discover in the surrounding area as well. Hiking and biking trails start right from the property and wind through the Achterhoek’s bocage landscape. For culture and history, the Hanseatic cities of Zutphen and Doesburg are just a short drive away. There are many castles and estates to visit in the region, and Bronkhorst—the smallest town in the Netherlands—is also nearby. The IJssel River is accessible by bike, and you can take a ferry to cross over to the Veluwe or Veluwezoom. For groceries, there are several farm shops selling local products, restaurants, and a supermarket. There’s also a wellness center in the area.

You’ll be staying in the heart of a rural setting. During the day, you’ll mainly hear birds, the wind, and other sounds of nature. Occasionally, you may also hear activity on the surrounding farmland. At night, it’s quiet and dark here.

Public transportation to the location is limited. Parking is available in the central parking lot near the farm. From there, you’ll walk along a dirt path to the yurt. A handcart is provided for your luggage.
