Day 1 and 2
The first night you will sleep on the north coast of France. Here you can make beautiful beach walks but there is also a nature park nearby. If you like history, there is a military museum that tells about the events in northern France. The first night you will stay in a cozy holiday home for 4 people in a holiday park. The accommodation is 900 meters from the sandy beach and the cozy promenade. Here you can enjoy good food, nice stores and a cozy atmosphere.
From the North Coast the journey continues inland. After a drive of just under 3 hours you will be just past Paris and staying in this cozy tiny house on farm land. It is an ideal destination for lovers of nature and history, with opportunities for hiking, biking and enjoying the local cuisine. While staying in this accommodation you can enjoy culinary and especially local with the farmer's homemade cheeses. For example, taste the traditional farmer's brie or the distinctive black brie, aged in the cellar. The area is very rural and quiet. You can visit several castles including the imposing Castle of Fontainebleau.
From the tiny house, the journey continues southeast, near the border to Switzerland. On Day 4, you have to drive a little over 300 kilometers to arrive at this beautiful destination. You will arrive at a nice campsite on the outskirts of the historical village of Ornans. This area offers many activities to do in the beautiful countryside. For example, go kayaking on the river La Loue or explore caves with a speleologist. Those who want to cast a fishing rod can also go to the river La Loue, which flows past the campsite. For a taste of culture, visit the museum Le Musée national Courbet, which features more than 70 different works by Gustave Courbet. The view from the campsite of the surrounding mountains is impressive. You can take endless walks here. You will sleep in a luxury safaritent that has all the facilities you need. Including a kitchen and bathroom.
Just under 3 hours away is the fourth accommodation, a cozy tiny house in the middle of French nature. Located at the gateway to the Morvan Natural Park, you can do lots of hiking and/or biking here. The tiny house is on a charming, small farm, between fields and a stream. The Morvan Natural Park is a beautiful nature reserve located in the heart of Burgundy, France. It is known for its rolling hills, vast forests, picturesque lakes and quaint villages. The park offers plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking, fishing and other outdoor activities. It is also known for its rich biodiversity and is home to several rare plant and animal species. The accommodation has many large windows giving you a beautiful view of the surrounding nature.
After day 7, it is already time to continue into France. On day 8 you will have to drive just under 300 km towards the south. There you will arrive at a campsite on a large lake in southern France. In the surroundings of the lake you can enjoy hiking and various viewpoints. Moreover, it lies at the foot of the Écrins National Park. This nature reserve features deep lakes and green forests. Within walking distance there is a beach where you can also take the boat to Toulon. Want a day at the beach? In just over 2 hours you will be on the beach of the cote d'azur. You will spend these days sleeping in a luxury safaritent overlooking the lake. The tent is on a cozy campsite that has many facilities. These include a swimming pool, a waterfront restaurant, a tennis court and a bowling alley.
The last few days you will spend in an artist's home in the interior of southern France. To get here, you have to drive a little more than 150 kilometers from your previous destination. The house is the former artist home of post-impressionist painter Cees Admiraal (1936-2005). You are surrounded by beautiful mountains and neat fields. You are staying just outside Rochebaudin, a beautiful village. It is considered one of the most idyllic places in the Drôme region. This region is known for its beautiful landscapes, including vast lavender fields, many hills and impressive mountain ranges. The area offers numerous opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, biking and canoeing. Drôme is also known for its cozy villages, medieval castles and local markets where fresh produce can be found.
