From the moment you arrive at this peaceful location, you’ll enjoy plenty of space and comfort—from a relaxing moment on the loft to a cozy evening in the hot tub. The combination of the wooded surroundings, the nearby recreational lake Nije Hemelriek, and the excellent amenities in the garden makes this a pleasant base for a weekend getaway or a longer holiday—whether for two people or a family.

The Accommodation
The single-story, accessible wooden house has a warm atmosphere and is equipped with air conditioning and a decorative fireplace in the living area. For entertainment, there’s a Smart TV with Netflix, and on the loft (accessible via a staircase), you’ll find a quiet spot to retreat with a book. The open kitchen is fully equipped with, among other things, an induction cooktop and a Nespresso machine.

There are two bedrooms, both on the ground floor. One room has a double bed (160x200 cm), and the other room has two single beds (90x200 cm). Outside is a spacious garden that offers plenty of privacy and sunshine. The patio is furnished with lounge chairs, an outdoor dining table, and a barbecue. The highlight of the garden is the hot tub with jets, perfect for warming up after a walk through the woods. The property has private parking for 2 cars, and pets are not allowed.

The Vacation Park
The vacation park is quietly situated on the Drentse Hondsrug, nestled among the woods. Children can enjoy plenty of playtime on the playground equipment and the pirate climbing tower. On the grounds, you can play a game of bocce or Kubb, and for those who want to explore the area, bicycles and e-bikes are available for rent. For a relaxed meal or a quick bite, head to the Grand Café, where the terrace offers a view of the adjacent playground.

The Surroundings
From the park, it’s just a short walk to the recreational lake ‘t Nije Hemelriek, known for its clear water and sandy beach. Active visitors can head straight out onto one of the many hiking, biking, or mountain biking trails through the Gieten-Borger Forest. In just a few minutes, you’ll reach the Boomkroonpad, where you can walk high up among the treetops. Nearby attractions, such as the Hunebedcentrum in Borger, the historical museum village of Orvelte, the DX Adventure Park water park, and WILDLANDS Adventure Zoo in Emmen, are all within easy reach.
