Sustainable Tiny House in a Wooded Area

Are you looking for a unique place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life? This eco-friendly tiny house is located right on the edge of the vast Altdorfer Wald (in the state of Baden-Württemberg). Here, you’ll enjoy the ultimate nature experience. No traffic noise, no light pollution—just pure tranquility, clear starry skies, and the chirping of birds. This charming holiday home comfortably accommodates up to 4 people (ideal for 2 adults and 2 children, or 3 adults).

The Accommodation
The cottage is built entirely of high-quality natural wood and finished exclusively with sustainable materials. The stylish, largely open interior exudes a warm, Scandinavian atmosphere with unique details. The cleverly designed space combines a cozy kitchenette, a comfortable dining area, and the sleeping area into a single cohesive whole. The comfortable double bed (160x200 cm) is positioned directly in front of a large panoramic window, allowing you to wake up in the morning to a beautiful view of the surrounding greenery. You can easily transform the cozy sitting area into two full-size sleeping spots (children’s beds measuring 80x200 cm and 70x180 cm). The open kitchen is fully equipped, including a dishwasher, stovetop, toaster, and various coffee makers (filter, French press, and an Italian espresso pot). Bedding and towels are, of course, provided for you.

Through the French doors, you can step right out onto the large private terrace and into the private garden. Here, you can enjoy long summer evenings around the gas grill or test your balance on your own slackline. There are practical conveniences as well: adjacent to the property, you’ll find a separate, lockable room with a washing machine, which also serves as a secure bike garage complete with charging stations for e-bikes.

The Property
The accommodation is situated on a unique, historical estate in an idyllic valley where the paved road ends. The surrounding grounds are a true playground and sports paradise. You can use the badminton and soccer fields, the trampoline, and the ping-pong table. There’s even a private mini-ramp (skate park), and for mountain bikers, there’s a private pump track on the grounds. Want to cool off? On hot days, take a refreshing dip in the flowing canal on the property or discover the natural swimming spots along the nearby Wolfegger Ach River. Hiking trails and challenging mountain bike trails start literally right outside your front door. The owners (who are avid bikers themselves) are happy to lend you a Garmin navigation system with the region’s most beautiful routes.

Good to know: There are two tiny houses on the property. You may share the common facilities (such as the sports fields, the trampoline, and the pump track) with guests from the other tiny house.

The Surroundings
Just 2 kilometers away is the charming village of Bergatreute, where you can do your daily shopping (supermarket, pharmacy) and enjoy four excellent restaurants. The historical shopping town of Ravensburg, with its charming outdoor dining areas, is a 15-minute drive away. You can also reach the impressive mountains of the Allgäu or the beautiful Lake Constance in just over half an hour. For families, top attractions like Ravensburger Spieleland, the climbing forest, and the Wolfegg Farmhouse Museum are just around the corner. Is the weather a bit less than ideal today? Then the many thermal baths and spas in the area offer the perfect way to relax.
