Group accommodation at former coal mine

On the historic grounds of a former coal mine, you’ll experience a truly unique overnight stay. This spacious group accommodation is suitable for up to 17 guests. Where miners once endured a hard life, two lovingly reconstructed miner's huts now invite you to relax and unwind.

Please note: The visitor mine museum is open, so daytime visitor traffic should be expected.

The huts are built based on historical examples and offer fascinating insight into the living and working conditions of past generations. At the same time, they provide everything you need for a simple yet authentic group accommodation.

Facilities & Atmosphere
Total surface: approx. 100 m², entirely built from wood
Heating: Original wood-fired Bullerjan stove for cozy warmth
Living area: Rustic wooden tables and benches with sheepskins for atmospheric evenings
Kitchen: Self-catering kitchen with electricity, running hot water, gas stove, mini oven, coffee machine, toaster, and basic supplies such as dish soap and tea towels
Sanitary: Toilets, washing facilities, and showers with hot water

Sleeping options
2 bedrooms: for 6 and 8 people
Sleeping loft: for 4 people
Note: Only mattresses are provided. Please bring your own sleeping bag or blankets, pillow, and bed linens.

Whether you're traveling by foot, bike, motorcycle, or car – the hut is a great starting point for exploring the Harz region. The Harz Narrow Gauge Railway stops right next to the site, making your arrival or outings even more special.
