Romantic Alpine Cabin in Grindelwald

Rustic alpine cabin with a surprisingly spacious and charming interior.
This accommodation is a unique holiday retreat for two people, located just above the village on a sunny and quiet mountain plateau with breathtaking views of the Eiger and surrounding glaciers. Despite its secluded setting, the cabin is easily accessible: in summer you can drive right up to the house, and in winter there’s a parking spot just 100 metres away.

The cabin stands alone in a sunny location, surrounded by stunning alpine scenery. Fragrant mountain meadows, crisp air and expansive views invite you to fully immerse yourself in nature.

Modern infrastructure has been carefully integrated into the traditional structure, with attention to detail and respect for the original character. The kitchen still features a traditional wood stove — just like my great-grandmother used to cook on. The fridge is built into a handcrafted cabinet made by my grandfather. At the heart of the cabin is the fireplace, true to tradition, surrounded by a dining table and a cosy lounge area with old wooden sleds as seats.

Above the living room is an open gallery with a comfortable Hüsler double bed. The bathroom is a feast for the senses, with different types of stone integrated into the walls and floors. A rustic wooden beam serves as a shelf, and behind a glass wall you’ll find the region’s first ski touring map from 1922.
