Sleeping in a castle in Regensburg

This small castle from the 16th century was built by Maximilian I of Bavaria and is located on the Danube River, diagonally opposite Regensburg's old town. The tower and moat are privately owned.

This spacious room for 2 guests is perfect for anyone wanting to explore the city.

The room includes a private kitchen and bathroom. All rooms have windows with views in three directions over the rooftops of the city – bringing in fresh air. The kitchen is fully equipped – from coffee maker to microwave. The bathroom includes a window, bathtub, and shower. Bed linen and towels are provided. As a luxury vacation rental, we offer the comfort of a simple hotel.

There are 4 secure parking spaces available in the castle's courtyard. The smoking lounge with garden chairs and tables is exclusively for guests.

Surroundings:
Everything is easily reachable on foot, by bike, or by city bus. By car? Not recommended – a taxi is cheaper than a parking fine (and you’ll likely get more than one!). The Danube riverside for walking your dog is just 50 meters away. A bike and walking path along the river gets you to the city center in about 10 minutes. Over 20 city bus lines run every few minutes to the old town and central station (our stop: “Weichs-Donaueinkaufszentrum”). Banks, shops, bakery, butcher, Edeka supermarket, post office, doctors, and gas station – all within 100 meters. Excellent infrastructure!

After a loud but beautiful day in Regensburg’s old town – when crossing the Danube bridge back and spotting the castle tower from afar – you suddenly feel:
The tight, shady streets are behind you, and you’re breathing fresh air again (without bratwurst smoke or smog).

Late check-out on Sundays: Possible until 3 p.m. by arrangement – free of charge.

We speak English and... for our American guests: So sorry – our old, beautiful historic castle (16th century) has no lift/elevator.
