Escape the hustle and recharge in this charming tiny house in the green heart of Drenthe. With a wood-fired private hot tub and views over the neighbour’s horse paddock, this is the perfect place to truly unwind. The house sleeps 4 and is located on a small-scale holiday park where you’ll enjoy peace, space, and nature, far from the crowds, yet close to everything that makes Drenthe so special.

The Accommodation
This cosy tiny house may be on wheels, but you won’t want to leave it! Despite its compact size, it offers surprising comfort. The sleeping loft with a double bed (accessible by ladder) offers beautiful views over the green grounds. The elevated living room includes a comfy sofa and a wood-burning stove, making it warm and inviting even in colder months. Below the living area is a snug sleeping cabin with two single beds, ideal for kids. Due to the limited height, a travel cot doesn’t fit, but a baby tent or bed rail can be added. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher and everything you need to cook. The compact bathroom has a lovely shower and toilet. Outside, you’ll find a private terrace with a hammock and a view of the natural playground with a nest swing, trampoline and water pump. While the little ones run free, you can light the stove, brew a slow coffee or doze off in the sun, everything you need for a peaceful break in nature.

On Sundays, the hosts offer a well-stocked breakfast basket. They regularly light the campfire for marshmallow roasting, and you can bake your own delicious pizza in the outdoor oven!

Surroundings
Cross the road and you’re straight into the woods ,perfect for walking or cycling. Three nature reserves are within close distance. You’re also right next to the Koloniën van Weldadigheid (Colonies of Benevolence), a UNESCO World Heritage site. Discover the region’s fascinating social history through local museums (also fun for kids) and follow scenic routes past old farmhouses, churches, and colony houses. Looking for more to explore? Visit the nearby towns of Meppel or Steenwijk, or venture further to Assen or Emmen for shopping and a visit to Wildlands Adventure Zoo.
