About this accommodation
Step out of the daily rush and unwind in this charming tiny house on wheels, nestled in the green heart of Drenthe, perfect for up to 4 people. Tucked away on a small-scale holiday park with just a handful of tiny houses, this place feels like a well-kept secret. The surroundings are peaceful and rural, ideal for slowing down, recharging, and soaking up nature. The tiny house is compact but cleverly designed and offers all the comforts you need. Outside, your private hot tub awaits, the perfect spot to relax under the stars. Thanks to the spacious layout of the park, you’ll enjoy plenty of privacy, while still having the chance to connect with others around the campfire or outdoor oven. A beautiful spot for couples, small families, or solo travellers looking to embrace simplicity and truly feel the outdoors.
The accommodation
This cozy tiny house offers surprising comfort in a small space. Climb the ladder to the double sleeping loft and wake up to stunning views over the green landscape. The raised living area features a comfortable seating corner and a wood-burning stove, keeping things warm and snug even in colder months. Underneath the living space, you'll find a super cozy sleeping cabin with two single beds – perfect for kids. Due to the limited space, a travel cot won’t fit, but a baby tent or bed rail can be placed on the beds. The modern kitchen includes a dishwasher and everything you need to cook a full meal. The compact bathroom is equipped with a lovely shower and toilet.
Outside, you’ll enjoy your own terrace with a hammock and a view of the natural playground – complete with a nest swing, trampoline, and water pump. While the kids play freely, you can fire up the wood stove, brew a slow coffee, or drift away in the sunshine. Everything here is designed to help you fully unwind in nature.
On Sundays, you can order a well-stocked breakfast basket from the hosts. They also regularly light the campfire, ideal for roasting marshmallows. And in the outdoor oven, you can bake your own pizza – crisp and delicious!
Surroundings
Just across the road you’ll find yourself in the forest, perfect for long walks and bike rides. There are three nature reserves just around the corner. What makes this region truly unique? It borders the Colonies of Benevolence, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you can dive into fascinating cultural history – with museums (also great for kids) that tell the story of this special place. Craving a bit more action? Nearby you’ll find other museums, charming towns, local markets, and even animal parks. And yes – you can enjoy water adventures here too! Go swimming, try stand-up paddleboarding, or rent a boat and explore the peaceful waters.
