Thanks to its secluded location and spacious garden, you’ll enjoy complete privacy. The wood-fired hot tub is big enough for the whole family but also ideal for a romantic evening under the stars.

The accommodation
This cosy holiday home comes with its own private hot tub, perfect for relaxing with the kids or unwinding together as a couple. The living area includes a comfortable sofa, dining table, and a wood-burning stove, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. A starter supply of firewood is provided for both the stove and the hot tub. From the generous double bed nook, you can gaze out over the horse pasture. There’s a snug children’s bedroom with a bunk bed for three; the lower bunk can be replaced with a baby cot if needed. A modern bathroom with a refreshing shower, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, and everything else you need complete the picture.

On Sundays, you can order a well-filled breakfast basket from the host. They regularly light the communal campfire, perfect for roasting marshmallows, and there’s a wood-fired outdoor oven where you can bake your own delicious pizza.

The surroundings
Just across the road from the park, you can step straight into the forest, ideal for walking or cycling. Three nature reserves lie just around the corner. You’re also right next to the Koloniën van Weldadigheid (Colonies of Benevolence), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover the area’s rich history through several nearby museums, many of which are fun and educational for kids. Looking for more activity? Explore nearby towns like Meppel, Steenwijk, Zwolle, or Assen. Emmen, home to Wildlands Adventure Zoo, is also within easy reach. And here’s something you might not expect from Drenthe: you can easily get out on the water. Go for a swim, rent a SUP board, or explore by boat, it’s all within reach
