Accommodation:
The authentic house stands in a unique panoramic location at the gateway to the Chianti region. A short private road leads to the house through olive groves, vineyards and forests, the typical landscape of Chianti. The two-storey building nestles into the natural incline of the site, so both floors have an entrance without stairs and with a lovely terrace.

The holiday villa can accommodate 8-10 people. It provides four double bedrooms, four bathrooms, two living rooms, a dining room, a large fully-equipped kitchen, a big terrace on the lower floor and a pergola on the upper floor. The lower floor comprises a living room, a bedroom with a double bed and bathroom, a bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom with a shower. There is access to the loggia. The upper floor has a kitchen (with a stove and dishwasher), a bedroom with two single beds, a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom with a shower, a bathroom with a bath, a living room and a dining room. A child’s bed is available.

The private swimming pool amidst greenery, in a unique panoramic location, affords a wonderful view over the valley and has sun loungers for all guests, as well as shady outdoor spots. The extensive site is fully fenced and therefore also suitable for children and dogs. It is planted with olive groves. The roofed terrace has a marble table and chairs for dining. The second terrace has garden furniture, a parasol and garden loungers, a well as a further table with chairs. The garden has a BBQ and a swing. Wi-Fi is available outdoors.

Breakfast, half board or full board can be booked at the Agri Resort with the same owners, just 300 metres away. A cook and a first load of shopping can also be booked.

The swimming pool is open from 1st May to 15th October.

Agri Resort has a riding centre and a tennis court that house guests can use free of charge. There is a typical Tuscan restaurant 300 metres away and further restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, petrol stations etc are just 5km away. The house is ideally located for trips to the most important cultural towns such as Siena (40km), Arezzo (45km) and Florence (50km). The Chianti wine cellars are only about 20 minutes away. There are local Italian Alpine Association hiking trails with waymarked circuits.

We are in the countryside and the nearest public transportation is "Montevarchi – Terranuova" train station at 8 km.

How to reach us:
by Car
A1 Highway (Milano – Roma) exit “Valdarno”. Follow indication to Montevarchi, in Montevarchi at the big roundabout take S.S. 408 Chiantigiana in direction Gaiole in Chianti. After 2 km. turn left in direction Montegonzi and follow the indications for La Forra. After having passed the little village Montegonzi, go ahead uphill. There are 3 entrances for La Forra on your left, the first is for the Riding Centre, then you will find the second entrance with the indication for the restaurant La Forra. Please do not take this, but follow the Street for another 500 meters uphill. You will then find the entrance for our farmhouse on your left. Take this and after about 30 meters you will find our little Church on your left , go straight on until you see the parking!

By train:
From FlorenceTrain station “F. Santa Maria Novella” take the train for Montevarchi-Terranuova, check the time table on www.trenitalia.it, it takes you max 1 h but even less depending on the train choosen
From Montevarchi train station you reach La forra only by taxi which are available during the day. The distance from the train station to La Forra is about 8 km
Florence is the nearest aiport but also Pisa is not that far.
From Florence airport take the bus to the city center and reach in about 30 minutes the train station “Firenze Santa Maria Novella”.
Pisa airport is very good connected with the Pisa central train station situated at just 1 km from the airport.
