In the charming town of Salemi, in western Sicily, this contemporary ground-floor apartment, makes a wonderful base for guests who want to combine poolside relaxation with sightseeing at some of Europe's most fascinating archaeological sites.

The modern flat, which sleeps 8, with plenty of outside space, allows guests to enjoy outdoor living as well as indoor comforts. The kitchen is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and coffee machine. The dining table in the kitchen offers a space for more casual meals.

At the back of the house, the private swimming pool is surrounded by a terrace with sun loungers and an outdoor seating area. To the side of the pool, there is a separate garden with a children’s play area, another seating area and an outdoor kitchen with a grill. The garden leads onto an organic vegetable patch which children will enjoy.

There are 2 bathrooms both of them have a full bath with a shower head, bidet, basin and WC.

Location
Situated in the breathtaking hill town of Salemi, with its 16th Century walls, and Baroque churches, this villa is surrounded by historical sites and beautiful countryside. The ancient Greek site of Segesta is just 20 minutes away. Whilst the Selinunte Archaeological Park (the largest in Europe) is a 30-minute drive. The ports of Marsala (40 minutes) and Trapani (50 minutes) also make fascinating day trips.

For self-catering, visitors should go to the weekly (Saturday) market in the centre of Salemi, where they will find a wide range of local produce and delicacies.

Palermo airport is a 50-minute driver, and Trapani airport is 45 minutes from the villa.
