Dome tent on the water with your own boat

If you like camping in nature but prefer not to compromise on comfort, this dome is the ideal solution. You will stay right on the water and in the middle of the forest but there is a comfortable accommodation waiting for you. From this dome you have a beautiful view over the water. You also have plenty of space and privacy outside to enjoy nature, each other and the beautiful weather.

The dome
Located on a nice lake, this dome therefore offers a beautiful view over the water. In addition, the accommodation is surrounded by forest, so you will really find yourself in the middle of nature. The dome is spacious, and has a mix of new and vintage furniture, including two single futons, rocking loungers, remote control heating, mini-fridge, toaster and everything you need for an unforgettable stay in nature. Hop in your own private boat and row across the lake. Or prepare a delicious meal in your own outdoor kitchen. There is also an outdoor fire pit so you can stare at the fire or stars for hours at night.

For bathroom facilities, you can visit 1 of the 2 locations for a nice hot shower, among other things.

There is no wifi at the accommodation. However, there is 1 place on the estate where wifi is available. You can park your car at the beginning of the property in the parking lot.

The campsite
This is a 20-hectare estate with a nature campsite in Papenvoort, Drenthe. The owners strive to maintain the forest; responsibly, with great respect and love for nature. On the property is a lake of glacial origin of over 1.5 hectares. There is no pike in it, so you can swim in it quietly. It is an old pingo, with two natural springs. Peat used to be extracted from the lake to heat the buildings of the municipality of Rolde. Fortunately, the deeper loam layer is intact. In and on the water you will find, among other things, lilies and licorice in terms of flora, and salamanders, frogs, writers and fish in terms of fauna. Fishing is allowed here. Furthermore, you can also enjoy yourself on the water by renting a boat from the Main guest. During your stay, you can take advantage of a delicious breakfast in the morning with fresh rolls and spreads (vegan breakfast is also possible). There is also a sauna overlooking the lake, which you can book through the landlord. Through the beautiful surroundings you can make beautiful bike tours. Therefore, you can rent both normal bikes and mountain bikes.

The area
Papenvoort is located in the least populated part of the Netherlands; the triangle between Rolde, Borger and Gieten. An incredibly beautiful, wooded area, with many swimming lakes, such as the Nije Hemelriek at 4.5 kilometers distance near Gasselte. National Park Drentsche Aa is also nearby, as is the capital of the province of Drenthe, Assen. The accommodation is located in the middle of the Hondsrug, a ridge that stretches from Emmen to the city of Groningen. The Hondsrug, together with part of the surrounding area, forms the only Geopark of the Netherlands. The area consists of coniferous and deciduous forests, fens, meadows, beautiful villages, streams, burial mounds, drifting sands, impressive beech avenues, heaths and fields and is ideally suited for nature lovers who love peace and quiet.
