Glamping in a bell tent on the waterfront

Would you like the real camping feeling, but don't feel like lugging and fussing? Then come sleep in our fine bell tent! Mats, chairs, kitchen utensils ... you can leave everything at home, because all the basics are there. You only need to bring your own comforter and bedding. Outside there is a picnic table, there are cosy lights, you can make a campfire in the fire bowl. The glamping tenet is located on a small-scale campsite in Friesland, where you can enjoy playing, swimming, supping, boating, fishing, cycling and can enjoy a drink on the sunny terrace.

The accommodation
The Bell tent has a diameter of 5.5 meters and can accommodate 2 to 4 people. You are here less than 50 meters from swimming water. You share the outdoor kitchen, which is next to the tent with the neighbours from the Tipi. The outdoor kitchen has everything you need for cooking. Cutlery, dishes, glasses, cups pans etc. You have your own picnic table and there is a fire basket you can use (dry wood you may bring your own or is for sale at the reception). The tent is divided into 2 or 3 cabins with 2 bedrooms or 1 large sleeping area. There are a total of 4 mattresses of 70 x 200 cm. There is electricity connection in the tent, lighting and there is a small fridge and there are 4 chairs and a table.

So bring your own sheets, mattress cover, blankets/quilts/sleeping bag and pillows.

Toilets and showers can be found in the sanitary building. There is free WIFI on the campsite. Reception is not everywhere and always good. You can always use the wifi in the reception area if you need a strong connection.

The campsite
The campsite is located on the peaceful Franeker canal in the province of Friesland. Whether you fancy a day on the water with 1 of the rental boats / canoes, or relax fishing at the peaceful fishing jetty, there is something for everyone. For the more active, bike rentals are available at the campground so you can explore the beautiful surroundings on two wheels. If you have an E-bike, we are also an official bike charging point and you can safely park your precious bike in our storage overnight. And of course there is plenty of swimming fun for young and old. We also organize fun creative craft afternoons for the children in our cosy reception area when the weather is less clement.

Have a cup of coffee on the terrace with cake or a portion of bitterballen with a glass of wine or beer.

The area
Relax and enjoy this child-friendly, serene campsite, a hidden gem located near Bolsward and Sneek. From the campsite you can make wonderful cycling trips, most of the Frisian Eleven Cities are within cycling distance. There is an extensive cycle route network with a cycling junction board everywhere. At the reception you can get tips and maps for the most beautiful cycling tours. Fancy a day out? Aqua Zoo Leeuwarden is about a half hour drive away and is a must for both young and old.
