Night in a unique waterfront Dome

A magical experience...sleeping in this beautiful Dome! When you step inside, you immediately feel why: it is the combination of the unique, spatial shape and the furnishings that create the special atmosphere. And all this is largely with used materials! The Dome is located on a small-scale campsite in Friesland, where you can play, swim, supp, sail, fish, cycle and enjoy a drink on the sunny terrace.

The Dome
The dome is suitable for a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children. From your own cosy garden between the trees, you look out over the water and have a wide view over the Friesche landscape. This special glamping tent is big! As much as 40m2 of living space and a ceiling of 4 meters high. Through the large window, you have a view over the water. A unique experience! The Dome is a luxurious form of camping. There is running water via a jerrycan and the waste water comes in the other jerrycan (which you have to fill and empty yourself). There is a gas stove with 3 gas burners and a refrigerator with a freezer compartment. It has a double Spanish bed (160x200 cm) and a sofa bed with 2 single beds of 80x200 for children.

Kitchen linen is included, comforter cover, pillowcase and mattress cover please bring your own. In front of the dome is a nice private garden by the water with a picnic table and a bench, where you can make a campfire (weather permitting).

Toilets and showers can be found in the sanitary building. There is free WIFI on the campsite. Reception is not everywhere and always good. You can always use the wifi in the reception area if you need a strong connection.

The campsite
The campsite is located on the peaceful Franeker canal in the province of Friesland. Whether you fancy a day on the water with 1 of the rental boats / canoes, or relax fishing at the peaceful fishing jetty, there is something for everyone. For the more active, bike rentals are available at the campground so you can explore the beautiful surroundings on two wheels. If you have an E-bike, we are also an official bike charging point and you can safely park your precious bike in our storage overnight. And, of course, there is plenty of swimming fun for young and old. We also organize fun creative craft afternoons for the children in our cosy reception area when the weather is less clement.

Have a cup of coffee on the terrace with cake or a portion of bitterballen with a glass of wine or beer.

The area
Relax and enjoy this child-friendly, serene campsite, a hidden gem located near Bolsward and Sneek. From the campsite you can make wonderful cycling trips, most of the Frisian Eleven Cities are within cycling distance. There is an extensive cycle route network with a cycling junction board everywhere. At the reception you can get tips and maps for the most beautiful cycling tours. Fancy a day out? Aqua Zoo Leeuwarden is about a half hour drive away and is a must for both young and old.
