Would you like to get away for a few days and spend the night in a unique place? Then book an unforgettable stay in this former sheepfold with characteristic authentic details! In this comfortable suite you will wake up to the sound of birds singing and a cow mooing in the distance.
You will stay at a special Buitenplaats (in Gelderland) of 1.5 hectares with a rich history and lots of greenery. Besides the Schaapskooi you will find a monumental farm on the outpost.
The sheepfold
A unique accommodation for 2 to 4 persons. The Schaapskooi is equipped with a luxury box spring bed (180 x 2.10 m) on the first floor and another 2 single beds on the (open) loft (steep stairs). There is a lovely sitting area by the wood-burning fireplace. For extra coziness there is a record player with the possibility of Bluetooth pairing. There is a nice sitting area for breakfast and the kitchen is fully equipped including an induction hob. The modern bathroom has a rain shower, sink and toilet. In the bathroom you will find sustainable care products and a bathrobe. The cottage has French doors, so you can welcome the sun in the morning and enjoy it to the fullest! The cottage consists of 2 equally divided halves, so you rent one half of the house. The living halves have no passage in the cottage itself.
It is possible to book breakfast at this bed and breakfast.
Surroundings
The B&B is located in the country of Maas and Waal, and then we mean literally between the rivers Maas and Waal. A beautiful central location in the country. A very watery environment with numerous bicycle routes, many ferries and foot ferries nearby. Less than 3 km away you will find recreation area the Golden Ham, from here you can make a fantastic canoe or kayak tour with a final BBQ on 1 of the islands. The largest garden inspiration park in NL, the Gardens of Appeltern, is a few minutes away and is worth a visit in every season. Would you rather go into town? The cities of Nijmegen, Den Bosch, Arnhem and Tiel can be reached within half an hour max. Grave, Ravenstein, Megen and Zaltbommel are nice historical places to visit. Don't feel like going out? The outpost is also great for unwinding.
