The campsite
At the campsite you will undoubtedly feel right at home. For children there is a swimming pool at the campsite in Drenthe which is always a great success (open from April and in summer). The campsite also has wifi coverage everywhere. There is a restaurant at the park with a terrace and a takeaway along the forest path for coffee, tea, ice cream and small snacks.
Surroundings
From the campsite you can easily make trips to many attractions and sites throughout the province of Overijssel and Drenthe. In the immediate vicinity, you can enjoy excellent hiking and cycling, but there are also several villages and towns nearby that are worth visiting. Places like Giethoorn, Hoogeveen, Meppel and Staphort are a short distance away, but also cities like Almelo, Assen and Zwolle are easily accessible from our campsite. Less than 1.5 km from the cottage is a beautiful large swimming lake with beach. There is much to do here including sub and canoe rental and you can take diving lessons. Just outside the village is a nice sauna complex with a swimming pool, restaurant and a stalactite cave sauna.

Small campground in the forest. Nice base to explore surroundings. Highways etc easily accessible. Restaurant and facilities were still closed.
Kleinschalige camping in het bos. Leuke basis om omgeving te ontdekken. Snelwegen etc. goed bereikbaar. Restaurant en faciliteiten waren nog dicht.
Hm, what can we say? Arrived it was not heated and very very cold. There was mold in several corners and also some things were already getting old and broken like the sofa and the chairs e.g. Unfortunately for this price much too expensive...
Hm was sollen wir sagen? Kamen an es war nicht geheizt und sehr sehr kalt. Es war in mehreren Ecken Schimmel und auch einiges schon in die Jahre gekommen und kaputt wie das Sofa und die Stühle zb. Leider für diesen Preis viel zu teuer…
