Retro caravan at eco-camping in Groningen

This retro caravan is on a nice eco-camping near Groningen. You look from your terrace on one side over the country and on the other side over the forest. The caravan is suitable for up to 4 people.

The accommodation
Enjoy a stay in this retro black caravan with cat wallpaper, colourful curtains and cheerful quilts. Here you can sleep on two comfortable beds on either side of the caravan. One bed is generous (180 x 200 cm), while the other bed is cosier (120 x 180) and therefore ideal for children. The caravan is equipped with a double comforter and two separate single comforters. The interior is tastefully composed of different (upcycled) materials. This sturdy caravan offers a beautiful view of the fields and has a spacious terrace with a veranda. For cold nights there is an electric heater. A cosy and unique experience surrounded by nature.

The eco-camping
The caravan is located on a cosy eco-camping in the municipality of Groningen. It is a real community campsite with a shared kitchen and a central campfire. The campsite has a lovely hot tub that you can book in for a 3-hour session. The location is beautiful, among the trees with the whistling birds all around you. The campsite is located on the outskirts of the city of Groningen. By bike you can be in the centre of Groningen within half an hour.

Cooking
The camping kitchen aka 'The Saloon' is pretty much the heart of the campsite. Breakfast is served here and in the evening dinner. During the day people play games here, drink a cup of tea or read a book. We also light the cosy (and famous) campfire here in the evening. Would you like to cook yourself? Of course you can. In addition to two refrigerators and two sinks, there is a stove, kettle and coffee maker. There are also plates, cups, glasses, cutlery and a dishwasher. And there are toilets nearby. Note: If you want to cook for yourself, remember to bring all the ingredients before you arrive here (there is no supermarket nearby).

Breakfast
Every morning between 08.00 and 11.00 a multicoloured breakfast is served including home-made sourdough bread, kaiser rolls, croissants, boiled egg, milk and orange juice and a selection of sweet toppings (including local jams, sprinkles, honey) and various cheeses. By default, breakfast does not include meat. Breakfast can be booked as an optional extra.

The surroundings
The eco-camping is located in the town of Engelbert, near the city of Groningen. Groningen is a vibrant city in the north of the Netherlands. With its historical charm, vibrant culture and friendly atmosphere, it attracts residents and visitors alike. The city features its beautiful canals, historical buildings and atmospheric squares. The Martinitoren, an iconic landmark, rises proudly above the city and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The cosy cafes, boutiques and art galleries add to the vibrancy of the city.
