4-person safaritent at campsite in Groningen

This safari tent is equipped with many luxuries and is an ideal base for a holiday with your family. The spacious tent also has a nice covered veranda where you can sit. And so even in less good weather you can sit nice and dry. The glamping tent can be found on a small and cosy eco-camping site in the province of Groningen.

The accommodation
This sunny safari tent is a lovely place for four people. Inside you will find a spacious double bed (180 x 200) and a bunk bed with an extra large comforter. The tent is cosy and snug, with plenty of storage space for your belongings. Outside, the beautiful veranda offers a dining table and a cosy seating area, perfect for quietly reading a book on mild summer evenings. For colder nights there is an electric blanket to keep you warm, and for the really cold months there is a gas heater available. The nearby shared outdoor kitchen is ideal for preparing your own meals. Communal showers and eco toilets are also nearby for added convenience. A perfect base for a comfortable and adventurous stay.

The eco-camping
The safari tent is located on a cosy eco-camping site in the municipality of Groningen. It is a true community campsite with a shared kitchen and a central campfire. The campsite has a lovely hot tub that you can book in for a 3-hour session. The location is beautiful, among the trees with the whistling birds all around you. The campsite is located on the outskirts of the city of Groningen. By bike you can be in the centre of Groningen within half an hour.

Cooking
The camping kitchen aka 'The Saloon' is pretty much the heart of the campsite. Breakfast is served here and in the evening dinner. During the day people play games here, drink a cup of tea or read a book. We also light the cosy (and famous) campfire here in the evening. Would you like to cook yourself? Of course you can. In addition to two refrigerators and two sinks, there is a stove, kettle and coffee maker. There are also plates, cups, glasses, cutlery and a dishwasher. And there are toilets nearby. Note: If you want to cook for yourself, remember to bring all the ingredients before you arrive here (there is no supermarket nearby).

Breakfast
Every morning between 08.00 and 11.00 a multicoloured breakfast is served including home-made sourdough bread, kaiser rolls, croissants, boiled eggs, milk and orange juice and a selection of sweet toppings (including local jams, sprinkles, honey) and various cheeses. By default, breakfast does not include meat. Breakfast can be booked as an optional extra.

This eco-camping is located in the town of Engelbert, near the city of Groningen. Groningen is a vibrant city in the north of the Netherlands. With its historical charm, vibrant culture and friendly atmosphere, it attracts residents and visitors alike. The city features its beautiful canals, historical buildings and atmospheric squares. The Martinitoren, an iconic landmark, rises proudly above the city and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The cosy cafes, boutiques and art galleries add to the vibrancy of the city.
