Spend the night in a farm chalet

This cosy farmhouse chalet (shepherds hut) can be found on a cosy mini campsite in Friesland. This accommodation is for rent for anyone who wants to get away from it all or has to catch the boat early to one of the islands. The accommodation has a nice view of the meadows and is located on the south side of the campsite.

A maximum of 2 people can stay overnight in the farmhouse chalet. There is a nice double bed of 160x200 with walking space on both sides, so you don't have to roll over each other. The chalet is near the sanitary building of the campsite where you can shower, wash dishes, get water, brush your teeth and go to the toilet. The chalet has a nice veranda where you can sit with a drink and enjoy the surroundings in the evening and during the day. The chalet is further equipped with a coffee maker, kettle, microwave, a refrigerator (with a small freezer compartment) and a small sink (including crockery). There is also a folding table where you can enjoy your meal. If you want to sit inside the chalet there are 2 large luxurious hanging chairs where you can relax. Outside there are 2 chairs and a table to sit on the veranda.

The campsite
The minicamping is located behind a beautiful farm from 1887 in the middle of the meadows. Camping in the Frisian countryside also means that stores and other entertainments are not next door but at least fifteen minutes away by car. At the campsite you can make use of a breakfast service. And who wouldn't want to have an extensive breakfast every morning with fresh rolls and other delicacies from the region? Moreover, such a delicious and hearty breakfast is, of course, a fantastic basis for a nice long walk or lovely bike ride in the Frisian or Groningen countryside.

Breakfast consists of:
2 kaiser rolls or 2 brown pistolets
Bottle of juice or smoothie
Cheese and cold cuts
Boiled egg
Sweets
Coffee or tea

Surroundings
The provinces of Friesland and Groningen are great for walking or cycling. Winding roads take you past meadows with grazing cows, sheep and horses. You can smell the scent of freshly mowed grass, see potato fields in bloom and crops swaying in the wind. But besides enjoying the vastness of the landscape and the beautiful nature, there is much more to see and discover. Countless ancient churches and restored windmills are well worth a visit.
