Wooden holiday home in the Ardennes

This charming wooden holiday home is idyllically located amid the vast forests of the Belgian Ardennes. It is part of a small-scale vacation park stretching over 12 hectares of forest. Tranquillity and space are key on this park, and with a little luck you might spot a deer, squirrel or wild boar wandering around. All year round, this is the perfect destination for nature lovers.

The holiday home
The house is compact but cleverly furnished so you can enjoy all the luxuries. The living room has large windows that look out on nature, so you won't have any views from passersby. The high living space creates a very pleasant atmosphere, and the fully equipped kitchen (which includes a dishwasher, induction hob and combination oven) makes cooking easy. The dining room has a massive slide-in table, so it can be adapted as a dining area for 6 people or as a cosy sitting area for an aperitif or TV night. The lounge box is part of this space and is ideal for relaxing or reading a book. The bathroom has a sink and toilet. The cottage has a double bed (connected to the living room), a double bed in the loft and a bedroom with a bunk bed. This makes the accommodation suitable for up to 4 adults and 2 children.

The large terrace with sliding windows is partially covered, allowing you to enjoy it comfortably even in the off-season. The house is environmentally friendly with straw insulation, a heat pump and heat recovery ventilation. Pets are also allowed, and free wifi is available.

The park and its surroundings
The vacation park is located in the beautiful Viroin-Hermeton nature reserve in the Belgian Ardennes. The park offers a common room with table tennis, badminton and volleyball facilities. At the reception you can get hiking maps and rent films. There is no restaurant on the vacation park itself, but in the centre of Oignies (just over 1 km away) you will find several dining options. The vast forests are ideal for beautiful cycling and hiking tours. You can also go kayaking, fishing and cross-country skiing in the area in winter. The vacation park is also close to the city of Charleroi, where you can store and visit numerous attractions. Within an hour's drive, you will find yourself in the beautiful area of Dinant, where you can take a boat trip on the Lesse River or explore the famous Caves of Han.
