Cozy Swedish cottage in Drenthe

A Swedish cottage in the Drenthe countryside. That is the best way to describe this unique accommodation. The simple holiday home is located behind an old farmhouse (where the owners live) in the wooded province of Drenthe. The garden is a bit off the road and is enclosed by fields and trees. Here you will find peace and have regular visits from deer, owls and squirrels in the garden.

Classification
The cosy holiday home is suitable for 1 or 2 persons (not suitable for children under 10 years). The cottage is furnished with a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom located on the first floor. The living room is on the second floor. Bed linen, kitchen textiles and towels are provided. Guests have access to the holiday home, veranda and garden. The garage can also be used to store a motorcycle or bicycles. The cottage is heated in spring, autumn and winter with 2 pellet stoves. These can heat the cottage well. However, they are off during the night and in the long absence of guests during the day. This way of heating does not bring the comfort of continuous heat of a central heating system.

There is a dog, cats walking in the yard and in the garden loose poultry such as goose ducks, roosters and chickens, guinea fowl. No pets of your own allowed due to loose poultry.

In the vicinity of this accommodation, there is much to see and do. Of course Drenthe has many beautiful cycling and hiking trails. A visit to the Drents Museum in Assen, Wildlands zoo in Emmen or the Hunebedcentrum in Borger are also worthwhile.
