Large green wagon at the edge of the forest

Bordering the floodplains of the river IJssel is a small-scale nature campsite with a number of unique accommodations. One of these special accommodations is this large wagon.

Children can climb, clamber, play with sand and water and of course discover for themselves what else there is to experience. You feel in the middle of nature, yet you can cycle to the historical center of Hanseatic city Deventer in fifteen minutes.

The accommodation
This original 1930s caravan was completely refurbished in 2022. The wagon received a new kitchen, windows, built-in beds, electricity and insulation. But there are also beautiful old details preserved, making it a very cosy wagon where you can completely unwind. In the caravan there is a double bed with underneath a double pull-out bed. This makes it suitable for 4 persons. The spacious kitchen has a 3 burner stove and a large refrigerator. There is also a kitchen table with chairs and a covered balcony to sit outside in the shade. The infra red heating provides comfortable warmth on cold days. The 8-meter-long wagon stands in a sheltered and spacious spot at the edge of the woods.

Right by the caravan is a water tap. There is also a private campfire area with outdoor table. Well-kept showers, toilets, dishwashing areas, etc. are nearby.

The Area
The campground is located in the middle of an estate area with several hiking trails. Besides the beautiful IJsseldelta and the old center of Hanseatic city Deventer you are close to National Park De Hoge Veluwe or the Salland Ridge. The nice city of Apeldoorn is also nearby (15km). Here you can visit the Apenheul, the Loo Palace or children's amusement park Julianatoren.
