Unique hidden underground holiday home

This unique holiday home proves that appearances can be deceptive. From a distance this looks like a historical Drenthe plaggenhut, but those who descend the stairs will discover a beautiful and above all luxurious holiday home for 4 persons! A tip of the hat: there is even a cinema in this accommodation. This is therefore a stay to remember!

The art house is located on the grounds of a cosy and small-scale campsite in Drenthe. The house is a design by Teun Hocks. The artist was inspired by the Drenthe plaggenhut and this is clearly reflected in the result.

The largest part of the holiday home is below ground level, but daylight enters through several skylights. The two bedrooms have two comfortable double beds. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped. Among other things, it is equipped with a dishwasher and a Nespresso coffee maker. The bathroom has a shower and toilet. One of the eye-catchers of the luxurious Hidden House is the home theatre. On rainy days or lazy evenings, it is great to spend time in this beautiful space. The luxurious chairs and red couch ensure that you can watch a movie in comfort. Especially for children, this is a great experience. During your stay you can also make use of free wifi. The natural look of the luxury holiday home in Drenthe fits perfectly with the wooded surroundings in which you are staying. In the adjacent garden is your lounge set, so you can enjoy all the fresh greenery around you.

The campsite
The grounds are decorated in a garden atmosphere. Nothing is straight and sleek but the organic shape of the campsite makes it an experience to be in. The meeting greenhouses lend themselves perfectly to a rainy day. Sometimes guests hang an activity on the board, which they organise themselves. e.g. Yoga on the Meadow or Nordic Walking in the woods. There is also a central fire pit, which is partially covered.

Wifi
You can use the wifi network for a fee. At the reception you can buy a card with a login code and password. Then you can log into the network on your tablet or smartphone. Quick, simple and easy.

Surroundings
The campsite is located in the middle of the Drenthe countryside. If you want to walk or cycle, the Dwingelderveld National Park is highly recommended. This park is located near the campsite. The tourist place Giethoorn (the Venice of the North) is only 15 km away. Larger towns with stores, restaurants and terraces are Hoogeveen, Steenwijk and Meppel (only 25 minutes away).
