Staying in a hooded Barn

This cute (detached) tiny house can be found on a small-scale and child-friendly family campsite on the border of the Dutch provinces of Drenthe and Overijssel. The cottage is located at the edge of the campsite and can be rented for stays of up to 4 people.

The accommodation
The tiny house is surprisingly spacious and has all the facilities you need for a wonderful stay. For example, the cottage has its own bathroom and a kitchen with a luxury extractor hood electric stove. For colder days there is even infrared floor heating. There are 2 bedrooms in the cottage. There is a bedroom for 2 persons and another loft for 2 persons (or 2 children). The cottage is therefore for rent for both a couple and a family. Outside you have a private garden where you can enjoy the outdoors.

The campsite
On the campsite you will undoubtedly feel right at home. For children there is a swimming pool (open from April and during the summer months) which is always a great success. The campsite also has wifi coverage everywhere. There is a restaurant on the park with a terrace and a takeaway along the forest path for coffee, tea, ice cream and small snacks. There is also a small store for daily provisions including delicious fresh rolls.

Surroundings
From the campsite you can easily make trips to many attractions and sights throughout the province of Overijssel and Drenthe. In the immediate vicinity, you can make excellent walks and bike tours, but there are also several villages and towns nearby that are worth a visit. Places like Giethoorn, Hoogeveen, Meppel and Staphort are a short distance away, but also cities like Almelo, Assen and Zwolle are easily accessible from our campsite. Less than 1.5 km from the cottage is a beautiful large swimming lake with beach. There is much to do here including sub and canoe rental and you can take diving lessons. At 4 km there is a beautiful large cosy sauna complex where you can have a good time for several hours.

Other things to pay attention to
Before arrival you need to report to the reception. Here you pay € 4, - pp per night for tourist tax, use pool, use dog playing field. For a pet you pay €2,50 per night (also payable at the reception).
