About this accommodation
Are you looking for a nice glamping tent in Drenthe for the whole family? Then book 1 of these 2 space 'identical' safari tents on a small and beautifully situated campsite. The campsite is located on a piece of unspoiled nature and consists largely of a small pond, forest and a beautiful heathland. The tents can accommodate 6 people and there is plenty of room for everyone.
The safari tents have two separate bedrooms. One with a double four-poster bed, and one with a bunk bed. In the living area there is a box bed (for 2 children) that can be reached by stairs. Under the box bed is a play area for the children or can be used as storage. In the living area there is a sofa, 2 chairs and a dining table. There is a complete kitchen with induction hob, sink with hot and cold water, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, and of course the necessary cutlery, utensils and crockery. Furthermore, in the tent there is a toilet, shower and sink with hot and cold water. On the terrace under the awning, there is a picnic table and a bench. For chilly days there is a pellet stove. Apart from the warmth, of course, it is also cozy.
Bed linen is required to rent. This from hygienic considerations. A towel package is optional to book and consists of a bath towel and a bath towel. The kitchen linen package consists of a tea towel and a kitchen towel. These are optional to rent but you may, of course, bring your own.
The campsite
The estate on which the campsite is situated is in one of the most beautiful areas of Drenthe! Hidden between the mighty beeches, oaks and pines, a forest path leads you to a beautiful and surprising open space. In the middle is a beautiful fen with two islands. Children can enjoy climbing in the trees, making huts out of the branches in the forest, looking for the "wise women" on the heath, and of course playing on the campsite's playground and bouncy castle. In good weather you can go to the swimming pool next to the campsite. This is available to all guests free of charge (pool is open from approx. April 1 to approx. Sept. 1).
Surroundings
From the estate you can walk or cycle straight into the beautiful countryside of Drenthe. Countless hiking and biking trails are near the campsite. The cozy town of Westerbork is about 1 km away. Here you will find restaurants, terraces, nice stores, as well as supermarkets, bakeries and cafeterias. In about 20 minutes you can reach Emmen by car. A visit to Wildlands zoo is definitely worthwhile. Also the tree crown path (15km) is a fun experience for children.
