Vacation apartment in a former hayloft

Do you feel like enjoying the peace and quiet of Friesland? Then you are very welcome in this luxury apartment (for 2 persons) which is located in the former hayloft of a farmhouse in the mound village of Bears. The village is located in the heart of Friesland near Leeuwarden, Sneek and Bolsward. The Poarte and the Uniastate make the village unique. The Poarte is the old gatehouse that used to give access to Uniastate. 'State' is the name for a former castle or mansion. After the demolition of Uniastate in 1756, the idea arose in 1990 to revive it in the form of a steel replica, as a mirage of the past. A visit is certainly worthwhile.

From the apartment, you have a view over the meadows and the Jorwerdervaart, a branch of the Eleven Cities Route (Elfstedenroute). The apartment has its own entrance and you reach the second floor via a staircase (there is no elevator). Here you will find a kitchen, a living and sleeping area with two box spring beds (90 x 210) and a bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with a two-burner stove, refrigerator, oven, kettle and coffee maker. Bath towels and kitchen linen are provided and when the beds will be freshly made for you. There is parking space and bicycles can be stored in the barn. If you come back to the apartment after a day of cycling, you can relax and watch Netflix. In short, anything is possible here including relaxing, cycling, boating, hiking, and enjoying the view!

Surroundings
A few kilometers away are the villages Mantgum and Deinum, where you will find a bakery and a supermarket. There are also several restaurants and bars within walking or biking distance. The vicinity offers many possibilities for day trips. Consider, for example, a visit to the Frisian museum in Leeuwarden, the mummies in Wieuwerd or the Planetarium in Franeker.
