About this accommodation
This almost 200-year-old monumental building was used as the town hall of Lage and Hooge Zwaluwe and Moerdijk for many years. At the end of the last century, it lost this function and after a thorough restoration, a unique boutique hotel opened in the building in 2021. The hotel has a number of beautiful rooms with a unique atmosphere.
This living room suite was used for the aldermen and the civil registry and secretariat. The municipal money was kept in the huge safe that is still in the room. This suite is a majestic, classically chic, very spacious room. In 1403, Zwaluwe came into Nassau possession when Johanna van Polanen married Engelbrecht I van Nassau-Siegen. Even now, King Willem-Alexander still bears the title: Lord of the Manor of Hooge and Lage Zwaluwe, because of the many historical connections of the royal family with the village. This room breathes the royal atmosphere with its high ceiling and stained-glass windows and furnishings in majestic style. The room has a spacious double bed, a luxurious bathroom with shower and toilet, a TV and of course Wi-Fi.
Every morning, a delicious breakfast is served in the hotel (included in the price).
Surroundings
This boutique hotel is ideally located for when you want to do something in the area. Visit, for example, De Biesbosch National Park. Here you can make wonderful bike or hiking tours. But also cities like Breda and Tilburg are just a fifteen-minute drive away. Would you rather visit an even bigger city? Rotterdam is also only about 30 km from the hotel.
