Sleeping in an authentic Dutch train

This train is an absolute icon of Dutch train history. Because of the distinctive shape of the nose, they were (although not officially) often referred to as Hondekop.

Train 375 was located as a static object in the traffic park Assen until 2014 and has now been transferred to our special campsite. The railcar was recently converted into sleeping accommodation with as many as 10 berths. So great for a large family, a whole family or friends outing. In the train there are a total of 5 sleeping accommodations. There are 3 bedrooms furnished with a double bed and 2 bedrooms with bunk beds. This accommodation is heated and therefore also great to book in the colder months.

Many authentic parts of the train can still be seen inside. Like the driver's cabin and compartments.

In the locomotive, there are 2 toilets and a bathroom. Of course, there is a kitchen with everything you need (no oven).

The campsite is located in the region of Wieringerwerf in North Holland. In the immediate vicinity is much to do and you can make lovely walks. The cosy seaside resort Callantsoog is also just a 40-minute drive away. And also the "Lutjestrand" on the IJsselmeer is nice to visit. And if you prefer to visit a city, you can easily drive to Alkmaar or Amsterdam.
